You met someone you’re genuinely interested in, but there’s just one little catch – that person recently broke up with a long-term partner. Although your friends might warn you and say something like: “Be careful, you’re just going to end up as a rebound”, you probably gonna ignore the warnings if you’re really into the person you’re dating. Although it isn’t the safest route to take to start dating a newly single person, if you’re going to follow next couple of tips, you might beat the odds.

You can best protect yourself by taking it easy and slowly. When someone is newly single, don’t jump to any conclusions, take baby steps and see what happens next. If you start slowly, you will keep your emotions and expectations in check.

If there were ever a time to delay sexual activity, it should be when you meet someone who just got out of a relationship and is newly single.
